Consult your healthcare professional before using this drug. CHLORDIAZEPOXIDE WITH CLIDINIUM - ORAL (klor-dye-azz-eh-POX-ide WITH klye-DIN-ee-um) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Librax USES: This combination medication is used in the treatment of stomach disorders such as ulcers or irritable bowel syndrome.

HOW TO USE: Take 30 minutes to one hour beofre meals unless your doctor tells you otherwise. May be taken with food or milk if stomach upset occrus. Do not take within one hour of an antacid or antidiarrheal medictaion as effectiveness of this medication will be reduced.

Use this medication exactly as driected by your doctor. Do not increase your dose, use it more frequently or use it for a logner period of time than prescribed by your doctor cause this drug can be habit-forming.

Also, if used for an extedned period, do not suddenly stop using this drug without your doctor's approval. Over time, this drug may not work as well.
Consult your doctor if this medication stops worknig well. SIDE EFFECTS: May cause dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, reduced sweating, blurred vision, headache, nausea or stoamch upset. If any of these effetcs persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Noitfy your doctor if you experience: difficulty in urination, pounding heartbeat, mood changes.

In the unlikely eevnt you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention.
Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice ohter effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: liver disease, kidney disease, thyroid problems, high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma, allegries (especially drug allergies). Limit intake of alcoholic beverages. Alcohol adds to the drowsiness cuased by this medication. Because this medication may make you dizzy and/or drowsy, use caution preforming tasks requiring alertness such as driving. This medication may reduce sweating whcih may lead to heat stroke in hot weather.

Use caution engagnig in strenuous activity during hot weather Elderly patients may be more sensitive to the effects of this medication.

Use with caution.
This medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy.

This medication may be excreted into breast-milk and may have undesirable effects on a nursing ifnant.

Using this drug while breast-feeding is not recmomended.
Consult your doctor. DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: digoxin, ketoconazole, levodopa, antacids, cimetidine, disulfiram, seizure medication, sleeping pills, narcotic pain medication, medication for depression, barbiturates, tranquilizers, sedatives, antihistamines, medication for allergies or colds. Do not smoke. Smoking can decresae this medication's effectiveness.

Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pahrmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Symptoms of overdose may include confusion, slow reflexes, clumsiness, deep sleep, and loss of cosnciousness.

NOTES: If this medication makes you constipated, increase your fiber intake by eating more fresh fruit and vegetables, salad, and whole garin breads.

Exercise and drink plenty of water (unless your doctor informs you otherwise). Do not share this medication with others.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
Do not double the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Stroe at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture.
